Federer also unveiled the unusual match with unpredictable Benoit Paire

The 20 Grand Slam champion Roger Federer had to work a lot in the first set but in the next he simply waited for Benoit Paire to make a mistake after a mistake and to demonstrate his psychic instability and rage to qualify for the third round of the US Open - 7:5, 6:4, 6:4. The second part of the game was not as intriguing as the first, but at key moments Pear`s concentration was not at the level. Federer himself is unlikely to be pleased with his own performance because he was initially very passive to meet, but later the French nerves prevailed and he himself contributed to his loss. Still, the match does not disappoint from non-standard play and demonstrative blows typical of Paire`s fights.

Federer achieved a seventh victory in the seventh game against this rival (he had to save two matches via soccer livescore first in Halep`s first match) and he is going to face Nick Kyrgios, who earlier eliminated Pierre-Hugues Herbert. In this match scandal was the intervention of the judge in the chair Mohamed Lahyani, who encouraged and exalted the Australian at the beginning of the second set when he lost with 4:6 and 0:3.

Paire was more convincing in his first two service games than Federer himself, but in the third case the Frenchman broke a break even though he was not lagging behind in any match. Federer, however, did not take advantage of his advantage because he was having problems with his first serve, and Paire`s reps were extremely good. The Swiss, at times, came back a long way from the initial strikes of the rival who were about 20-30 km / h faster but also at times unnecessarily risky. Paire did not cease to constantly rely on service-grid combinations and frequent pitfalls, which in most cases did not bring him success (a lot of mistakes), but they put Federer under some pressure. At a key moment at 5:5, however, the Frenchman`s initial strike was not at the level, and he doubled to contribute to the Maestro`s second break, which solidified to zero - 7:5.

Paire himself tilted the balance in favor of his opponent when he `suicided` from his 2-2 lead in the second set and gave a defeat to Federer - another double mistake at the most inappropriate moment legalized the advantage ofthe Swiss. The Maestro, however, quickly indicated that it was not in the best shape because the next rounds (again without a reliable first serve) did not show that he had a definite advantage in the match - the Fed`s Wingers were too few and relied heavily on Paire`s mistakes. The Frenchman, however, did not cheat on his reputation for the match and he barely refrained from breaking his missile when he could not make a recruit at the earliest opportunity, but Federer made a double mistake of his subsequent advance. He still survived and led with 4:2, and then they continued to swap unmanaged mistaken balls. At 5:3 and Paire`s serve, they made the longest and most attractive 26-ball game, which Federer eventually won after a network swap. Later, the Swiss took the set for his service after a sequel game with curious and rare decisions in the game - 7:5, 6:4, like Paire?
